“How long does SMP last?”

Scalp Micropigmentation is a long term permanent solution for your hair loss! It can lighten up a little over time due to sun exposure, but this is where you can have 1 refresher 'top-up' session. Typically clients dont start to consider a top up until 2-3 years after the initial treatment, but it can be upto 5 years before you book in for a freshen up.

“Will it look natural?”

Yes, absolutely. When performed correctly and to the highest standard, SMP looks so authentic and just like hair follicles. We use specialised needles that are 75% smaller than tattoo needles so we can replicate the thousands of missing hair follicles and bring back the appearance of a full head of shaved hair, or create density through thinning hair. We use carbon-based pigments specifically designed for scalp work. Even fair, red, and grey hair tone can be perfectly matched.

“How long does treatment take?”

Typically our full treatments require 3-4 sessions. Each of the 3 main sessions take around 2-3 hours and they are spaced 1-2 weeks apart. The 4th session we are assessing the results and perfecting as necessary to ensure the best results for the long term, this session typically takes around 1.5 hours. You'll see immediate results after your first session!
